One Of My Helpers, Our Off-Grid Vacuum Cleaner

 

One of my helpers, the vacuum cleaner - and yes, I can use it but only on sunny days - it uses 1600 W, but I use it at 800 W or 1200 W, so if it's a suny day, we connect it to the 1.6 KW system and it works just fine. I can use it on 1600 as well if I want to, the lithium batteries can hold it, but it's not necessary, 800 W is enough. Being off-grid doesn't mean using just the broom (especially that I'm not allowed to use the broom too much as dust goes into the inverter filters).

Sound Therapy

Sound therapy - I have discovered about 2-3 weeks ago the amazing world of Tibetan bowls and now I have 3 on my 2023 wishlist. Tibetan bowls are used for meditation and sound healing. Just fyi, before WW2 a lot of churches used to have real bells that healed - they were taken down, melted and used to produce ammunition. They said they were needed for that, but since the new international standard in songs is 440 Hz instead of 432 Hz which is the natural harmonious frequency of nature, I really doubt the bells were taken down because they needed the metal. I say they were taken down because they healed. The bell at the church in my village sounds awful - cow bells sound better.

So, since this is not a hate post, I will leave that apart and tell you what I have discovered about Tibetan bowls:

• they are created manually or by machines. My intuition takes me towards those created manually by real people that charge them with energy;
• they are simple or engraved with various symbols - I personally prefer simple ones because I don't know all the symbols and I avoid using things engraved with symbols I don't understand;
• they are created from several metals mixed - mine in the picture is from 7 metals;
• they create sounds similar to those of bells when hit;
• to make them 'sing' there is a special technique that involves rubbing the little hammer/mallet around them in circles - took us about an hour to get the hang of it;
• depending on the size and metals they are made of, they "sing" at a specific frequency that can be used for healing - ours is around 1400 Hz, measured by the app Tuner - Pitched!;
• the higher the frequency, the higher the organs and chakras healed;
• the smaller the bowls, the higher the frequency; our bowl of 7cm (2.7 in) is 1400 Hz while a bowl of 20 cm (7.8 in) is around 300 Hz or even less;

When we bought ours, we played it for an entire evening - not recommended they say, but we loved it. Since then I use it whenever I feel tired and need soothing sounds. It always helps me feel better so my plan for this year is to buy 3 larger ones. The small one we have was for test, just to see how it feels.

Weekly Purification Ritual

Weekly purification ritual with palo santo, frankincense and myrrh. Sage is also an option. I put a few pieces of each in the special metal bowl, a piece or two of burning coal from the stove and walk around the house, the yard, spreading the smoke everywhere asking for beneficial energies to be left here for us, thanking for our health, for this place that has accepted us here, for abundance and all we have. Cloudy Days and Our Batteries

 What do we do when it's cloudy for several days in a row and the batteries are almost empty? Well, we save the energy. No surprise there ...

We turn off the fridge and freezer during the night or we take the food in the fridge outside on the porch and turn the fridge off. Temperature -2 Celsius right now, -5 estimated for tonight (28 and 23 Fahrenheit). Food will be ok outside. The batteries for the freezer are still fine and sun will be out of the clouds tomorrow. When it is cloudy for about a week, we take out the generator and charge the batteries, it takes about 2 hours. We are fine, we learned to manage the power wfficiently, don't waste it. For heating and cooking we have the wood stove.

Winter Activity and Cultivating Patience

A good way to cultivate your patience and create something beautiful and useful - number painting. I started about 2 years ago not knowing if I would have the patience ...and now I am already on painting no.4. Absolutely relaxing and keeping you in the present. You just fill in the numbers with the relevant color - they put everything you need in the box, including paint and brushes. And perfect for cultivating feminine creativity and energy. I recommend this activity, especially in winter time. Enjoy!

No Waste: Planting Garlic

No waste: planting garlic. Since it rained a lot last night and the soil is no longer frozen, we used the opportunity to plant garlic. All the small ones that we've been saving for the past weeks got stuck in the ground, pointy end up...that's it, job done...

Honesty time: what are you afraid of? In her book 'The Power of the Spoken Word', Florence Scovel Shinn writes 'When you are fearful you begin to attract the thing you fear: you are magnetizing it'. This is what we learned here the hard way. We were afraid of thieves, they stole our water pump, we were afraid the car would get vandalized, someone cut a tyre, afraid the construction team would do a superficial job, they did...I was afraid of vegetation fires...it happened 2 times to us already.

So, what are you afraid of? Losing your house? Your spouse? Not having food or money? Afraid of illness? All your fears will materialize in the near future, so get rid of them now! Fear is faith in evil, not in good. That's another quote from 'The Game of Life and How to Play It' by the same Florence...so, act upon it...now!
