How to Achieve Mental Clarity

In Search of My Soul: From Human Resources Manager to Off-Grid Farmer


Last evening we watched on Netflix the Sci-Fi movie Limitless (yes, the Netflix subscription is my way of telling the Universe I am out of the poverty mindset - we used to watch only movies we could find for free on Torrent) and this movie got me thinking. I will tell you my conclusions because they are important and may help you.

In the movie, the main character is a writer, unable to write and get his act together. At one point someone offers him a clear pill, a drug to help him with his writing. He decides to give it a try and the result is a much faster speed of thought and mental clarity. With plenty of secondary effects, but I’m not going to speak about those. He realizes the sad environment he’s living in and the first thing he does is clean his apartment which was a mess, manages to write a book in 4 days, he manages to learn piano in 3 days, to remember small details he read or heard somewhere, to make connections between the information in his brain, to invest in stocks and multiply his money in an unbelievable rate by noticing small details others didn’t notice. He describes his state as amazing mental clarity where everything in his brain is accessible.

Well, his state is actually possible without the drug in the movie and we have been experiencing some of it since we moved here where we live now. It’s not easy, but possible in time. We are not completely there, but it’s possible for sure.

Anastasia in the series “The Ringing Cedars of Russia” also speaks about the speed of thought and what to do to improve it. Here are my findings below and what you need to do to achieve mental clarity (these ideas are from several books I’ve read and applied in practice):

 

- stop eating junk - the the chemicals make you not only sick but deprive you from mental clarity. Give up sugar especially and taste improving chemicals like monosodium glutamate (also known as glutamate or yeast extract or even better “seasoning extracts”). They are neuro-toxins. I’ve been in a severe state of depression after eating a few slices of what we call here “parizer” (baloney). I haven’t eaten that for years when at some point I was giving some to the dogs and tried a few slices. I wasn’t physically sick, but it gave me lack of energy, lack of any joy of living and severe depression - I didn’t even want to get out of bed - took about 2-3 days to get it out of my system; I’m not giving it now not even to the dogs;

 

- drink quality water - don’t ask me where to get it - visit me and I will give you some :) Bottle water and tap water are not quality water. Read Masaru Emoto and Viktor Schauberger to understand why. Quality water is water not touched by any human activity that comes from springs in remote areas;

 

- Breathe quality air - no, the city and its surroundings don’t offer quality air. Air feeds just like food. Quality air can be found as far from the cities as possible, preferably up in the mountains. Fog and moist air are great as they also hydrate the body;

 

- Avoid routine. Routine kills your brain. Change something in your life daily, make your brain work, learn something everyday. Avoid boring jobs where you do the same thing every day for 30 years. You will end up old and sad much sooner than you think, sometimes even in your 40s;

 

- With children, avoid interrupting their process of thinking and avoid filing their brains with useless data. They need to learn how to think not fill their brains with information tat may not even be correct;

 

- Try problem solving as often as possible, for you and your children as well. That keeps the brain moving, searching for solutions, working…

 

- Breathe properly - do daily exercises of minimum 15 minutes where you breathe deeply for 4 seconds and exhale for 4 seconds - there are several variations on that, but the ideas is to stop breathing superficially as most of adults are doing;

 

- Get plenty of rest - don’t go to bed after 10 pm. Yes, it’s tough I know, we don’t manage to do that either, but when we do, we get quality rest and mental clarity the next days…and the thoughts flow faster;

- Avoid crowds. I told you before that our mental body stretches far beyond our physical body. All our thoughts mix when we pass near other people as our mental bodies touch each other. What mental clarity do you think you can have when you pass daily near people that are filled with fear, guilt, that worry, that have no mental clarity themselves, that don’t have a vision for their life and that let the big wave carry them around without stopping to think if their life is going in the correct direction. Remember you create what is around you with what you are and think inside. Look around - are you sure you want your reality created by the people that surround you? Choose them more wisely. I know that by living in large cities you can’t avoid that. But, hey, it’s your choice. I’m just telling you you don’t need drugs to achieve amazing mental clarity and speed of thought.

 

That’s all I could think of for now. That’s all we have experimented. We haven’t achieved the level of mental clarity in the movie, but I see dramatic improvement since we moved off-grid in a clean environment, far from crowds.

My boys have got new toys: BMS (Battery Management System) with Equalizer. Meant to equalize the charging level of each battery, to make them level. Testing for now on a smaller battery pack we will use for light in the winter house, soon to get larger BMS devices for the larger battery packs. Connectable via bluetooth with the phone. Nice. This is their equivalent to my Tibetan bowls. That's how excited they were when they arrived.

After I decided to stay home with our son and quit corporate my main frustration have been money obviously. I never had enough, I hated asking my husband. Now I am fine and here are a few ideas to remember and implement in your life if you want money to come to you easily:

  • be what you want - you get what you are not what you want. I have to repeat this 1000 times because it's so simple and so true. So be rich inside to become rich outside. How are rich people? Confident, relaxed, satisfied, grateful, generous, calm. Be like that today if you want money tomorrow. Each time I worry, forget to be grateful and complain, money stops until I come back to being calm, relaxed and grateful. Then money comes back again. They are energy.
  • find joy in giving at least 10% of what you get - it's a rule that works - donate to causes you believe in and with joy and ease, not because I tell you to and you have to.
That's it. The first rule is the most important and it works for me each time. Each time I worry today, money stops tomorrow and doesn't come back until after I get relaxed again...How are YOU every day about money?




Not All of Our Thoughts Are Our Own

 

 

Did you know that a large number of thoughts you have are not really your own? Some estimate that at 80%. How can that be? In the books of A.E.Powell you can read about the other "bodies" we have besides our physical one. The mental one dealing with thoughts, imagination and memory is one of them. These other bodies can stretch for entire metres around your visible physical body. This means that each time you pass by other people in the street or in large shops or spend time in a large crowd, even live in small apartments that are on top of each other, all your mental bodies touch each other. This means exchanging thoughts all the time with a large variety of people.

And when all these people live in fear, guilt or other negative thoughts, guess what kind of thoughts you will get too?

Prentice Mulford in the book 'Your Forces and How to Use Them' compares all these thoughts to a large river that moves slowly and carries you with it. You can't escape all these thoughts unless you get out of large cities, move to remote areas, preferably as high as possible, the mountains being ideal.

So...as far as you live among large crowds, you will think like them and eventually act like them. It won't make ypu happy, you won't know why...well, here's why...because you no longer use your own toughts, but think like the crowd, act like the crowd. Look at the crowd where you spend your day and decide if that's where you want to get your thoughts from. Think about this!

I Almost Stole My Husband's Energy

 

 

In the book series 'The Prophecies of Celestine' James Redfield speaks about our tendency to steal other people's energy whenever we feel drained. And we do that in 4 ways - the intimidator (the one shouting, screaming, cursing, bullying people around), the victim (the one that makes you feel sorry for their problems even if you didn't cause them), the distant/the aloof (the one that doesn't tell you what is wrong making you keep asking questions to find out in order to help) and the interrogator (the one asking questions about you and using the information against you). I am 1 sometimes, and 2 sometimes.

After a week in which multiple conflicts made me sick (I has issues sleeping because of a dry cough - I had some shocking news lately), a day in the city (I promosed our son I would take him to see the Christmas market although I hate the city and it always drains my energy away) and 3 nights I slept very late, last night included, I woke up very very tired and drained of my energy. My first impulse - to steal my husband's energy. It wasn't a conscient action, but I did everything I could to provoke him and start a fight. I realized what I was doing and stopped immediately. I told him and said I was sorry, before anything happened - he's very calm and doesn't react immediately to me being angry.
The moment I realized what I was doing involuntarily and asked him to forgive me for what I was about to do, I felt filled with energy and gratitude. Had I fought with him, I would have stolen his energy but it wouldn't have lasted me long because I would have felt him drained and felt guilty.
So, try to analyze your actions and stop any negative ones before they develop into chaos. Walking in nature, playing with the dogs and cats, reading are much better actions to charge yourself than steal someone else's energy.
